A Weekend Full Of Fun

So we looked up the weather on Thursday and of coarse it was going to rain/snow on Saturday the 19Th. It always I mean ALWAYS rains/snows on my birthday. So my great husband decide to take me for a birthday outing a weekend early.. I was so excited. I had planed this great day for the 19Th and then it was going to rain and i was bummed. But Brady came to the rescue.
First we got up and went to breakfast at market grill in cedar. Then it was off to St.George. We went down to the new airport. Which had always been the old airport to me. That was the place that we always drag raced. Now its the new airport.
Then it was off for gas and something cold to drink.
then we went for our ride. I have not been on this road for 13 years wow that's a long time.
It was nice and warm we even got sun kissed why we were out.
That day made my St. Dixie blood start running fast and strong.
It made me miss my home town.
I would move back until i had to drive with all those crazy people.
Here is Brady dumping out all the kids shoes. I think the kids were trying to get another sandbox at home.. Let me tell you the white socks will never be white again.
This is Colton's shoe. That was the least amount of sand in all the shoes

Kids dumping out shoes again.

Playing in the sand. There are two little girls in this photo and i don't know who they are but you will get that story in a minute.

Here is a temporally delayed truck AKA stuck truck.
Do you see that van?? Yes a van in the sand???
We were trying to pull out that stuck van. that van was not temporally delayed it was plain stuck.
You just cant fix stupid.

Look at that view. This is what makes me home sick red mountains warm weather.
That's it we are moving!!
I want to build a house that over looks mountains like those.

This is our road that we had to go on!! We were trying to decide if we wanted to try the road when the van came and was going to show us how it was done. As you know he did not make it..
So in this van was the husband, Wife and 4 kids about the ages of 7, 5, 3, 1. What makes this funny is the wife got out and was taking pictures and the husband was not happy at all.
When i was talking to this lady she said that her husband told her not to worry because they could make it. When he got stuck he looked at her and said crap now everyone is laughing at us. and she told them yes honey they are.
You have to love life.

SO what could we do. Tell them sorry your on your own.
So Brady being the great guy that he is when to help.
But when you don't have the right tools for the job it makes the job harder.
We had a tow strap that was 3/4 shorter then it should have been. (that has now been fixed.)
No shovel (i thought he knew better)
and as stuck van...
HA HA HA it was fun.
Well we got hooked up and they guy would not let Brady back up enough so that Brady could get a run at it to get this guy out of the hole that he was in.
Oh and the guy would not give up. He just kept his foot on it even when he was not going anywhere. He just kept digging a bigger hole for us to get out of.
Well next thing we know we are stuck too. well temporally delayed.
So here comes a ranger thing and he tries to pull us both out but no luck. He got stuck too but he just winched him self out. (note to self we need one of those)
Then comes a ton of 4 wheelers and a jeep. Well we had to cut Brady's tow strap. See this strap just gets shorter and shorter. (that's why we got a new one HA HA)
the guys in the jeep had a long strap and was able to stay on the hard ground. Pulled us out with out a problem.
Then it was on to the van. With the short strap and the long strap we got the van out.
Why we were doing this we had an airplane buzz us and wave its wings SO SO cool. He was so close that you could see the pilot's face. I did not have my camera or i would have had a picture to show...

This is what the kids were doing the whole time that we were trying to get out. They were loving i mean LOVING life. They had a blast and to me that's all that mattered.
So we stayed where we were and had our picnic. It was getting late enough that we did not try to get to where we were going. Then after our picnic we were off to my grandma Pectols house to say hi.

See Emily and I was there too. We have a photo to prove it.
My kids would ask me if i ever went on any trips with them if i wasn't in a few pictures of the trip.

Me and Emily on the hard to sandy road.
PS it was fun watching all the cars try to decided if they had the guts for the road. lol
WHAT A DAY
the sad thing about days like that they always come to an end..
