Week From Hell

This is the worst photo of me yet!!

This is a photo of a mother that has not had much sleep in 5 days. I counted and in the five days that i was in the hospital with Emily i had 10 hours of sleep. Most of the time i slept in that chair that i am setting in. See all of those cords that's what i had to deal with all the time i had at least 4 cords that i had to deal with all the time.

If you look at her heels you can see how picked on they are. She was having her blood drawn some times as much as 4 times a day. That doesn't count the IVs and blood draws that they had to do some other place. I counted and the test that they ran on her just in the hospital was about 50. That doesn't count all the test they did on her when she was not in the hospital.


This photo was taken right after they had picked on her for a blood draw that took a lot longer then it should have. She found her thumb and was sucking away. Poor girl.

Hanging out in the sun. Oh wait just kidding but she did kick it really well. She some times would sprawl out with her glasses on it looked like she was having a good time. At first that is.

This was taken before she had to be put back under the lights.

This is Emily hooked up to everything it seemed like.

My week from hell was because she had jaundice. That part was not too bad but it was really hard because all i wanted to do was hold my baby. She was only 4 days old.

The week then got really bad when she quit breathing on us..

Emily can be quite naughty when she wants to be.
