MIA

Well I have been MIA (missing in action) for the last week in a half or so. So 5 days 1600 miles and 34 hours in the van later i am home. Here is what we have been up to. We had a blast on our vacation. We went up to Salt Lake and went through the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple. It was such a beautiful Temple. The painting on the walls were wonderful. I just cant describe the beauty of this temple. The chandlers were big and beautiful. This is a small temple. Our tore only took us about an hour from the time that we got there to the time that we left. They had a water fountain out in front of the temple and it was one of the girl's favorite part.

We had our family picture taken out in front of the temple. One of the helpers for the open house took our picture so we all were able to get in our picture.

Here are the girls and I after the tour of the temple.
After you go through the temple they have some refreshments for you. I think that this picture is cute. It takes a lot to get both girls to smile and look at the camera at the same time. I love Lindsay's smile.

If you look closely at Moroni, his arm and trumpet are black. No its not a shadow it is from lightning. Lightning hit Moroni early in the week. Moroni does have a lighting rod on the top of his head but i guess the lighting wanted to blow the trumpet too. The LDS church is going to try to clean it and if they cant clean it then they will replace Moroni.
So that was the beginning of our 5 day 1600 mile 34 hour trip. Till next time, my God give you the strength for the day.

My dad was on the crew that put moroni on top of the temple. It looks like he may have some more work to do.
